Team 701 RoboVikes

We put Science and Technology FIRST

The RoboVikes

Exactly twelve years ago, on a typical sunny day in Fairfield, California, a group of physics students and their teacher, Mr. Doug Green, decided to form what would become a top program in Solano County. Today, the robotics team they started all those years ago is prospering more than ever. From the original four students, the RoboVikes have grown into a class of thirty-five students, two of which who go to schools other than Vanden High.

Team 701 not only relies on many generous sponsors, but also is funded by the fundraisers they hold; for example, an annual iPad raffle, car wash, and the selling of FIRST LED light bulbs. They are supported by the Vanden Robotics Foundation, which is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and by their Robotics Parents and Mentors (RPM). A student leadership runs the class day by day, communicating the events and happenings of the team to the class.
