Engineering Director

The Engineering Director is elected to the Student Leadership board by their fellow students. Their responsibilities include:
- Provide a strong communication bond between Mechanical, Electrical, Prototype, Inventor, and Programming by involving all groups during Build Season.
- Strategize a schedule for Build Season and present it to the team.
- Update the Google Calender every Sunday and review it with the Leadership Team at the meeting.
- Communicate regularly with the Leadership Committee, by updating on any progress during the Build Season.
- Make sure that the committees have access to everything that they need to complete their assigned tasks.
- Take inventory and arrange for the purchase of materials before build season that will be needed.
- Ensure the purchase of any tools or small parts needed during Build Season with Petty Cash.
- Work with the Treasurer to collect and process equipment and part orders in a timely fashion.
- Maintain the calender during Build Season noting any necessary changes to schedules or deadlines as needed.
- Ensuring completion of the Bill of Materials, and bringing it to competitions.
- Helping decide on job allocation during competitions based on students skill sets.
- Watch over off-season projects and be sure they're completed on schedule as expected.
- Working in the pits, and providing guidance over any work that needs to be done.
